Read to a Dog programs increase literacy skills for struggling readers by offering opportunity to read aloud to a dog (who doesn't judge mistakes and helps alleviate fear of stumbling over words or mispronouncing them).
Dorothy Bramlage Public Library's Read to a Dog program provides young people (grades 1-12) 15 minutes of read-aloud time per session. Advance registration is required. Read to a Dog sessions will resume fall semester.
Do you have the right card to access these libraries? Ask a staff member if you need help!
